Airline-Safety-Records.com is dedicated to the safety of today's air traveler.  By holding airlines accountable for their safety related statistics we believe we can encourage airlines to adopt better safety practices and procedures.  

To most air travelers, the two most important considerations in choosing an airline are the cost of the fare and the safety record of the airline.  While there are many sources for information on air fares, the safety information about airlines is much more difficult to obtain.  We have gone to the Federal Aviation Administration, the NTSB, and the U.S. Department of Transportation to obtain the data needed to present the safety history of airlines in an accurate and objective manner.       

Since the safety performance of airlines can change over time we update our tables regularly.  Both the Five Year table and the One Year table are updated several times a year.  We would encourage you to check this site each time you make travel plans to determine which airline is performing best in the area of safety.  We would also encourage you to read the section "Statistical Methods" to take full advantage of the data presented here and make the best decision regarding your travel safety.  With this information you finally have the power to make informed decisions about airlines and your travel safety!
